נַקְבָּה – Naqbah

"אָדוֹלְף הָיָה הַנַּקְבָּה  שֶׁלִּי"
אָמַרְתִּי לַדֶּגֶל הַהוּא
דֶּגֶל אָדֹם, יָרֹק וְשָׁחֹר
שֶׁהָיָה מִתְכַּרְבֵל בְּחֵיקָהּ שֶׁל הַמֶּדְיָה.
"קְחוּ אֶת הַנַּקְבָּה שֶׁלִּי,
אִינְשְׁאַלְלָה  ! ⁽¹⁾
הִשְׁאִירוּ לִי רַק אֶת הַנַּקְבָּה
שֶׁלָּכֶם."


⁽¹⁾ אִינְשַׁלְלָה
הערה: אם מדינות ערב לא היו מתעלמות מהחלטת האו"ם ולא היו תוקפות ב-1948 והארץ הייתה נחלקת לשתי מדינות, ישראל ופלשתין,  לא הייתה אז נקבה.

Adolph was my Naqbah,
I told that flag,
 A green, red and black flag,
Cradled in the bosom of the Media.
Take my Naqbah,
Inshallah !
Leave me only with yours !

Remark: if the 7 Arab States in l948 had obeyed the UN Resolution and not attacked Israel there would have been established two states, Israel and Palestine and there would have been no Naqbah.
